About Us

Sydney Gastrointestinal Specialists is a small group of specialist gastroenterologists who pride themselves on providing high quality medical assessment & treatment, in a friendly environment.

We are based in Eastwood in Sydney, opposite Ryde Public Hospital. Parking is available on-site at the back of the practice. Consultations are by appointment and a referral letter from a general practitioner or specialist is usually required. To make an appointment or for further information, please contact our reception.

We attend at a number of local public and private hospitals, including Concord Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Macquarie University Hospital and North Shore Private Hospital. In most cases, we will “no gap” charge patients for procedures if they have private health insurance.

Procedures

Endoscopy (or Gastroscopy)

This is a procedure to examine the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum. The procedure involves passing a thin tube (gastroscope) through the mouth, into the oesophagus and then into the stomach.
