Dr Stephen Tattersall is a Sydney trained gastroenterologist providing comprehensive gastroenterology care and endoscopy at at Royal North Shore Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital and Macquarie University Hospital. He has rooms in Eastwood, Hunters Hill and North Shore Private Hospital.

Dr Tattersall studied medicine at the University of Sydney and graduated with honours in 2001. He trained as a physician and gastroenterologist at hospitals including Concord, Liverpool and St Vincent’s. After becoming a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians he spent 2 years pursuing his interest in inflammatory bowel disease as a Senior Fellow at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, UK.
Dr Tattersall has published in peer-reviewed medical journals on topics including inflammatory bowel disease, viral hepatitis, chronic pancreatitis, helicobacter pylori and iron deficiency. He has participated in multi-national trials of novel treatments for inflammatory bowel disease. He has pursued his interest in research through a masters degree in clinical epidemiology at the University of Sydney.
